Day Six Challenge: Energize with Peppermint Oil

Peppermint essential oil is one of my all time favorites.

I’m excited to share it with you today. It’s a little bottle of oil that has numerous health hacks (I’ll share a few top ones below). Peppermint has proven itself to be useful in many ways, but today we are focusing on feeling more energized throughout our day.

Today’s challenge is super simple, but I want you to take action on it at the right time. Whenever you’re feeling the need for a pick-me-up, or to be more focused and clear, grab your peppermint oil. You’re going to place a drop in the palm of your hand and then breathe it in. Take a few big, deep breaths. How do you feel? How’s your breathing? Pay attention to how your body responds, because I know you’re going to love experiencing that refreshing aroma of peppermint.

Peppermint oil has many beneficial properties beyond helping to wake you up.

Here are a few of the ways we use peppermint in our home:

  • To cool the body is it’s running a fever.

  • For supporting the digestive system, especially if someone is feeling sick to their stomach.

  • To help with head tension.

  • To flavor drinks or desserts.

  • To support the respiratory system by opening airways for clearer breathing.

  • To repel bugs, especially.ants or spiders.

  • To soothe and cool skin after it’s gotten too much sun.

The list can go on.

I love using peppermint oil first thing in the morning to jump start my day, or in the afternoon when I’m feeling low on energy. Instead of reaching for more coffee, you can breathe in some peppermint.
