Day Eleven Challenge: Create a Joy List

You may be asking yourself, what creating a Joy List has to do with creating a healthy foundation for your wellness goals? But to be real, when can you remember the last time you sat down to make a list of things or moments that bring you joy and make you happy?

Let me say, this Joy List may benefit you while you are writing it down, but it will also be something you can pull from when you feel emotionally drained. As we focus on our mental health today, it is important for you to recognize the little things (and big things!) in life that light you up - that make you happy. What brings you moments of joy in your day?

I will give you a few examples from my personal Joy List that I wrote down:

  • Drinking a hot cup of coffee.

  • Watching a sunset.

  • Spending time reading with my kids.

  • Going out for breakfast.

For today’s challenge, I want you to create your own Joy List.

This can be something you keep private, or may want to share with others (or me! you can tag me on social @holisticspark). Keep this Joy List in a place where you can easily find it. You can add to it whenever you feel inspired and pull from it whenever needed. This will be a great tool to help you feel emotions that comfort you and help you feel happier. Every single one of us can benefit from creating a Joy List.
